One of the best parts of facilitating Personality Dimensions® workshops is seeing how teams take the learning beyond the session and really make it their own. I had the pleasure of working with an insurance client who didn’t just enjoy the workshop with me – they embraced it in a way that inspired their workplace.
After the session, they wanted to keep the momentum going, so they ran a contest to see how team members could creatively display their Personality Dimensions® colours; Organized Gold, Inquiring Green, Resourceful Orange, and Authentic Blue. The results? Absolutely amazing and creative! From candy jars, to sewing and items that best represented their colour, this team turned their self-awareness into a fun and engaging experience to continue building their Kick Ass team.
This experience reinforced something I always emphasize in my workshops: when people are given the space and opportunity to play, they unlock new levels of creativity, collaboration and understanding.
Workplaces can (and should) lean into this type of playfulness and build relationships and experiences that are much deeper. We often think of work and play as opposites, but they’re actually an incredibly powerful duo. When people feel safe to be creative and have fun, they engage more, they communicate more openly, and they retain information longer. Because training insights should never fade into the background.
I was so happy to see these photos they sent me. It’s a powerful reminder why I love the work I do. It’s not just about learning – it’s about transformation, connection and creating environments where people thrive and feel joy.
